Stimulus – Response

by Matt on Feb.02, 2009, under Lucid Statements

Desire and then acquire, thats all that happens. The only difference between instant gratification and a long drawn out thinking process is that you tried to convince yourself there was a reason other than the simple desire. Well, there is the possibility that you delayed because there were other, similar options, but that is not really trying to talk yourself out of it.

I’ve been trying to think of a way to write this post for almost a week now, and to be honest I gave up trying to write it the way I wanted to. Why bother, just pump out some crap and BAM, thoughts are out there. No point in pursuing perfection when you can just spew whatever is on your mind and then fix it later when you realize its crap.

Not that anyone cares what I’m doing mind you, current need is all that matters. Satisfaction Accomplished! NEXT THOUGHT!

So there you are, wherever the hell there is, doing whatever it is you are doing (I know, specific right?) and you realize, “What in the hell am I doing?” Impulse got you to this point, but here he was, the bastard, laughing at you and leaving you with the question: “How the hell do I get out of this?”

Now that we have arrived in this wonderful place where all desires are fulfilled, I have a couple questions.

Where do I go from here?

What was the point of this place anyway?
