Tempting Shiva

So here’s a few of the pictures from my trip. Taken with my Panasonic G1. One of these days, more pics will follow. Pictures!

And I am still terrible at doing updates. Really, it’s that I suck at the internet in general. My facebook is blank, I don’t really use social media sites at all, no forums anymore nothing.
So my goal for this year is to find a way to use this and the internet in general in a way that is consistent. To that end my trip pictures should be up on flikr soon, and thus here. After that, who knows?

Yeah, so would you believe I’ve been busy?

Me neither. Not entirely sure of the direction of this here website for the foreseeable future, but I have some ideas.

Maybe I’ll actually implement them too!

So as you might have noticed I am terrible at actually doing updates. This should soon change since I finally enabled the IPhone App for word press. So in theory the updates will be more frequent. To atone for some of my incompetence here is a shotgun post of everything notable that has been going on and some random thoughts.

First of all I still have no idea what to do with this blog. Originally it was going to contain some of my more random ideas and thoughts, and this might still happen, but it has proven difficult to write down this stuff before I get sick of it. New posting method might fix this, we shall see.

On to project updates!

Beer is coming along better than expected. The upcoming switch to all – grain from extract brewing is going to be expensive but most likely worthwhile as the end product will be much closer to what is desired and can be better customized. Plus I will be able to construct some new toys to make everything go better and faster. This project has some actual potential, but lets make sure it’s going to work before making any real decisions.

Photography: Camera is acquired and some pictures have been taken, however I need to really start taking the HDR tests and panoramic test images. Additionally it would be good to pick up the software to do this but even though the cost is fixed I still don’t really want to spend the money. Oh well, I’ll get over it.

Trip Planning: Tentative dates are June 6 to June 21. Locations to include most of the United States and possibly some of Canada. I am thinking about adding an additional week as in the entire trip I have 2 days of leeway. That could prove problematic. 

So that’s it for now, some more should be coming shortly, and at some point some images. When i can edit them down from 5 MB each.

How are we supposed to write an introduction to what the entire purpose of an endeavour is? Do you stride boldly and confidently out into the world and proclaim “HERE I AM!!!” or do you just toss your result to the world with nary an announcement and hope against hopes that someone cares. What seems to be popular, and so I am joining the bandwagon, is to announce yourself in a snark and sarcastic manner that says ” I have opinions, I think they matter, but if you don’t, well at least I am trying to be funny” 

So with that terrible introduction the point is found, soon there will be both madness and awesome to be seen. With your eyes that is.
